KARATE

GENERAL INFORMATION

Reed’s Karate Academy was established in 1998 by Master William Lee Reed, who has trained and competed nationally in martial arts for over 30 years. Martial Arts should not be considered a sport, luxury or privilege. It’s truly “The Way of Life” when taught with the proper concepts, which is Building Character, Family Values, Life Skills, Leadership, Confidence, Self-Discipline, Self-Defense & Fitness…

There are so many different styles of martial arts to choose from, but choosing the style of choice is not the challenge of martial arts. It’s choosing a style/system that is committed to the quality of training and moral values over making money. There are far too many karate families paying for programs that are money driven, such as long extended contracts, Leadership clubs that cost money, additional ranks added to prolong a student’s training and contract, Weapons clubs used to entertain under-belt students instead of focusing on building a solid foundation…

This general information is to make sure parents hold their style/systems of choice accountable and not be taken advantage of. There are a lot of families and students that are victims of being hustled, which is why I wanted to share my thoughts and experience. Martial Arts is like parenting; a student will not completely understand the true benefits until they have matured enough to appreciate their Mental, Physical & Emotional accomplishments…

REED’S ACADEMY FACILITY:

Reed's Karate Dojo/Training Center is 3,000 sq. ft, which allows us to separate our students based on their age and ranks. This luxury allows the students to receive more valuable instructions with less congestion instead of seating and wasting training time.

MEDIA LOUNGE:

Reed's has a Spacious Viewing area, with Free Wifi. This area is separated from (The Dojo). There are several large custom windows that slide open which allows you to view your child’s progress, while relaxing, working or occupying a sibling.

INSTRUCTORS:

Reed’s Karate has multiple Instructors. We offer Beginner, Intermediate & Advance training groups within each class. Master Reed manages and assists all groups. There are generally 8 students or less in a group.

FLEXIBILITY:

Reed’s Karate realized most parents have busy schedules when it comes to their children, whether it’s sports, music, homework etc. Therefore, we allow you to pick and choose your training days. We also don’t force you into a long-term commitment. We offer short and long-term options. These options will allow you FLEXIBILITY and a piece of mind.
